 Gay Beaches & Cruising Areas
Amager Strandpark
Amager Strandpark has a long sandy beach, a shallow lagoon, a special lane for swimmers and rowers and a wild section.
The easiest way to get to Amager Strand from the centre of Copenhagen is by Metro. The Metro runs along the beach from the city and has stops at the northern end (Øresund), midway (Amager Strand) and the southern end (Femøren).
This beach has its own web site! Web Site
Bellevue Strand
One of Copenhagen’s best gay beaches, only a very short train ride from the city centre. Take the Øresund train to Klampenborg Station. The northern end of the beach is a combined nude and gay beach, and very popular during the summer.
Ishøj Strand
Beach park south of Copenhagen with some gay action. Take the S-train to Ishøj Station and walk to the beach between Pilestien/Pilehuset and Lyngstien/Lynghuset. You can also take the bus to the Arken museum, and walk from there, southwest along the beach.
Ørstedsparken
The main and most central cruising area in Copenhagen, between the streets Nørre Voldgade and Nørre Farimagsgade. During the day cruising mostly takes place around the public loos. From sunset until early morning the cruising is all over the park, especially around the trees at both sides of the bridge in the middle of the park.
Tisvildeleje
Tisvildeleje Strand is 60 kilometres from Copenhagen, a beautiful and fairly secluded beach with clear water, picturesque dunes and action in the dunes and pines. Take the S-train to Hillerød Station and change to the local train to Tisvildeleje Station. From the station, walk down the hill towards the beach. After the beach parking lot, follow the coastline for about half an hour until you see fewer straight families and more gay men.
Zigøjnerpladsen
Zigøjnerpladsen at Amager Fælled is a popular nature resort for gay men. Its a nudist beach in the summer. It is situated near the parking lot at the start of Lossepladsvej after entering from Artillerivej. Go by bicycle, car, or take the bus 35 or 250 to the station, Islands Brygge.
