About
TheGayStation.com
Our
aim with these guides is to go in the opposite direction to everyone else
and instead of get flashier and flashier as web site technology improves,
go back to basics and make the guides as simple as we can possibly make
them, yet with as much accurate information in them as we can find. Whilst
making these guides, We've been astonished at the amount of incorrect info
in gay guides on the net, guides that are rarely if ever updated, or guides
that are such a pain to navigate, you end up screaming before you find
what you want!
We
work every day on these guides, immediately adding, removing, correcting
or improving stuff the moment we find anything new or hear from someone
with info. We've been asked why we don't make them look more professional,
but why? What are you here for? To be impressed by our webmastering skills,
or to find the info you want? What we always say to anyone who thinks we
should adopt a more professional look is, "Look at Google". They could
afford to make their's the most amazing, flash ridden site on Earth, but
do they? No, they copied us and kept it simple! :-)
There's
one other thing thats very important to us, and that is communication.
If someone takes time out of their busy day to write to us, be it a compliment
or a criticism or better yet, info, the least we can do is give them back
a little of our time and respond. That's just common courtesy, isn't it?
Why is it then that SO many webmasters/companies don't do it? Guess they
weren't brunged up proper like we wuz. We ALWAYS reply if someone writes,
and you know what? We love criticism. Criticism tells you where you're
going wrong and helps you to get it right. Its worth its weight in big
dicks! (Well, almost!) Oh and by the way, we like compliments too. (Hint!)
Last
but not least, don't you just hate gay guides that express their opinion
of somewhere? How dare they presume you will have the same opinion as they
do? At TheGayStation.com, you won't find any opinions, just facts.
In
conclusion, I'm Gaz and I'm making these guides because I love doing it.
I'm not interested in the business side of it. I'm just interested in making
these guides because travel, typography and men, have always been my three
favourite subjects and I can't believe to this day that I found a way to
put three such unrelated interests together to keep me as happy as a pig
in s#it, and hopefully make life a little easier for you :-)
